The seat
They stretch out, rather than hunch up
A windowsill is rarely made for a cat: they sit there hunched in a ball, one paw hanging in mid-air. The hammock gives them 55 × 35 cm of Oxford fabric, suspended against the glass by steel cables.

The difference it makes for them
A real spot at the window
No more squeezing onto a sill that's too narrow: 55 × 35 cm of fabric, against the glass, facing everything going on in the street.
No drilling
Four suction cups on the glass: no holes in the wall or in the window frame.
Four points of support
Two suction cups at the ends of the frame, two at the end of the steel cables that run up the glass.
Set up in four moves
Assemble the frame, slide on the cover, thread the cable through the eyelets, attach the suction cups. No tools needed.
The moment
A front-row seat to the buildings opposite
Pigeons on the ledge, rain on the rooftops, passers-by: they don't miss a thing. And they watch it all lying down, in the sun, instead of keeping lookout on tiptoe.
Fitting
Four suction cups, and ten minutes' patience
Soak the suction cups in lukewarm water, wipe them dry, clean the glass with a damp cloth, then press firmly to push out the air. Wait 10 minutes before letting your cat climb on: these are the supplier's instructions.
All four suction cups go on the same smooth pane, two of them at the ends of the 55 cm hammock: measure your pane before ordering. Windows divided into small panes aren't always suitable.

Frequently asked questions
What people ask us about the window perch
How much weight does it hold?
Up to 17.5 kg according to the supplier, who confirmed it to us in writing. That figure assumes all four suction cups are properly fitted on smooth, clean glass: check how well they're holding from time to time.
Is my window suitable?
You need a smooth, clean pane, large enough for all four suction cups: two at the ends of the 55 cm hammock, two at the end of the cables that run up the glass. Single or double glazing: both are suitable, according to the supplier. Windows divided into small panes by glazing bars aren't always suitable: measure your pane before ordering.
Can it be fixed to a wall?
No: its suction cups hold on smooth glass, not on a wall.
How do I attach the suction cups?
Soak them in lukewarm water, wipe them dry, clean the glass with a damp cloth, then press firmly to push out the air. Wait 10 minutes before letting your cat climb on.
Is the cover washable?
It slides onto the frame, so it does come off. But the supplier gives no washing instructions: we're not going to make them up.
How big are the suction cups?
8 cm in diameter each, according to the supplier. There are four: make sure there's room to fit them all on the same pane.
