Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This policy describes how Pelux (“we”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit pelux.fr or peluxcat.com or place an order there, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés).

Data controller

Pelux. Contact: pelux.team@gmail.com.

Data we collect

  • Identity and contact details: surname, first name, email address, delivery and billing address, telephone number.
  • Orders and payment: details of the products ordered and the amount; payment is processed by our payment provider (Shopify Payments) — we do not store your card details.
  • Browsing: connection data, IP address and pages viewed, through cookies (see our Cookie policy).

Purposes and legal bases

  • Processing and delivering your orders and providing after-sales service — performance of the contract.
  • Meeting our obligations in accounting and tax matters — legal obligation.
  • Audience measurement and marketing (including the Meta Pixel, the Google tag and the Pinterest tag, for conversion tracking and targeted advertising) — your consent, collected through the cookie banner.
  • Sending you our news if you have agreed to it — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Recipients

Your data can be accessed by us and by the processors we strictly need: Shopify (hosting and management of the shop), the payment provider, the carrier delivering your order, and — subject to your consent — Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google and Pinterest for advertising measurement. We do not sell your data.

Hosting and transfers

The site is hosted by Shopify International Limited (Ireland). Some data may be transferred outside the European Union; where this happens, appropriate safeguards (the European Commission's standard contractual clauses) govern these transfers.

Our relationship with Shopify

The site and the shop are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the site and the shop in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit to the site and the shop will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify, as well as with third parties that may be located in countries other than the one where you live, in order to provide and improve the site and the shop. In addition, to protect, grow and improve our business, we use certain enhanced Shopify features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our shop, with other merchants and with Shopify. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may make use of personal information collected about your interactions with our shop, with other merchants and with Shopify. In these circumstances, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including for responding to your requests to exercise your rights over the use of your personal information for these purposes. To learn more about how Shopify uses your personal information and any rights you may have, you can read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Depending on where you live, you may exercise certain rights with respect to your personal information here: Shopify Privacy Portal link.

Retention periods

Order data is kept for the duration of the business relationship and then archived in line with legal time limits (in particular 10 years for accounting records). Marketing data is kept for 3 years from the last contact. Cookies: 13 months at most.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to and restrict its processing, and to data portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to us at pelux.team@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

Cookies

How we manage cookies is explained in our Cookie policy. You can change your choices at any time through the consent banner.
